U.S. is putting a new ban on Huawei, which wasn’t surprising but U.K. is following the same path to ousting Huawei from its network infrastructure. As announced recently, UK has extended the timeline to remove Huawei from its network equipment industry, first in 5G.

According to an official UK government document, UK has published a guide to 35 telecoms network operators to remove Huawei gear from their core part.

In 2020, UK decided to remove Huawei citing guidance from National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), as the company cannot manage customers due to U.S. sanctions on its supply chain. The sanctions, imposed by the US Government in 2020, stop Huawei from accessing US semiconductor technology on which it previously relied. On the other hand, UK government has already fallen into U.S. trap and singing the same song that Huawei network equipment poses national security.

Below you can check the new extended timeline to remove Huawei from network equipment infrastructure in UK.Advertisement

The new deadline to exit Huawei equipment from the 5G core structure is by 31 December 2023, which was initially planned for 28 January 2023.

UK has aimed to outcast Huawei from 5G entirely by the end of 2027, while an immediate halt on the installation of new Huawei equipment. On the other hand, UK wants to limit Huawei’s appearance in full fiber access networks to 23% by 31 October 2023.

“Today I’m using these powers and making it a legal requirement for Huawei to be removed from 5G networks by 2027,” said UK’s Digital Secretary Michelle Donelan.

In reality, Huawei telecoms need more time to fill the hole if they remove Huawei from their network structure around the country because Huawei’s influence and the alluring price have caused a positive impact on UK’s telecom operators. Meanwhile, the UK government has not revealed the fund to feed the removal process but it will surely be not easy.Advertisement

Google Play Store already packs extraordinary features for every device. But looks like, the US tech maker has some new plans for the application. Latest report hints that Google will revamp the Play Store design for Android tablets in 2023.

In the Google I/O developer conference held this year, the manufacturer flashed some light on this matter. The company mentioned that it will upgrade more than 20 self-developed apps for tablets and folding models.

Following the footsteps of the previous statement, the company has now published a new blog on its official page. This blog reads some unique amendments as well as functions to the Google Play Store for Android tablets and other large-screen products. What are these new changes?

The input reveals that the upcoming Google Play Store features will serve as a huge aid for the developers. Ultimately, these new changes include app descriptions, screenshots, images, trailer videos for apps and games, and more.Advertisement

Further, the company will entirely change the gaming page of the Play Store app. Consequently, after the fresh additions, the page will describe the apps and games in a far better manner. Aside, it will show the images on the home page.

Google informs that these new implementations on the app will benefit the users and developers in every possible way. Alternatively, users will get a more clear view of every app and can easily decide on what to install on their devices.

Apart from these features, the tech maker also mentioned a few guidelines for the developers. The blog showcases some regulations that will help the developers to make the utmost use of the latest Play Store interface.

For instance, developers can add up to eight screenshots and images for their apps in a 16:9 format. Besides, they can share the screenshots taken from Chromebook in the Play Console.Advertisement

So far, we have gathered several changes in the Google Play Store. The recent one is the “Other Devices” tab addition. Currently, the company has started making efforts to bring some new offerings for its users in the next year with a new Google Play Store design.

Huawei keeps on polishing its skills to develop better solutions in every field. Whether it’s a smartphone or automobile, the company has given some of the best mechanisms to date. Currently, Huawei and Luxshare have jointly developed a new patent for automotive high-speed connectors.

Luxshare Precision is cooperation that usually deals with electronic connectors. Alongside, it also provides cable assemblies, test fixtures, antennas, power cords, precision metal elements, plastic components, and other electrical parts to the industries.

According to the latest information, Both Huawei and Luxshare Precision have applied for a patent, entitled “an automotive high-speed connectors assembly” At present, the respective application has been authorized.

As the title reflects, the patent belongs to the connectors technology. Generally, connectors are adjoining parts, used for electrically connecting or disconnecting the circuits. Further, it works on linking the electrical components to the vehicle.Advertisement

To make these connectors a little better for smart automobiles, Huawei and Luxshare are putting efforts and developing an advanced mechanism. Let’s explore how these high-speed connectors will work.

In this case, the automotive connector assembly comprises two connectors. The first connector holds several terminals and a single insulator in its panel. Meanwhile, the second connector also includes a bunch of terminals and one insulator.

Both connectors and their terminals are so arranged that they can mutually match each other’s functionalities. With a constant connection, this technology will improve internal stability and will enhance performance at a high-speed level.

It’s worth mentioning that in recent times, the Chinese manufacturer has provided several patents. For instance, the patent for verification function improvement, SMS sending patent, car patent for efficient payment methods, and more.Advertisement

As of now, the company is dealing with the application of the Automotive connector. Let’s see what new technologies will the company offer in the time ahead.

Yu Chengdong – the head of Huawei smart car solutions recently shared his thoughts on the future of China’s auto market. He mentioned that only 5 major tech giants that will rule over the auto merchandise.

Surprise or shock, but this is the actual point. Huawei CEO believes that the time ahead will bring such competition in the China auto market that only a handful of creators will be able to survive and bring out the best inventions.

According to him, the competition among auto brands will be as similar to the aircraft manufacturing industries. Although, the CEO has not defined any automobile cooperation specifically. But, he gave a hint by saying that AITO is capable of selling 20,000 units per month.

Sarcastically, the personality also says that it is better to opt for a fuel vehicle than purchase an extended-range vehicle. Currently, large-battery hybrids are almost similar to pure-electric vehicles and don’t have many differences.Advertisement

But electric vehicles are best!

However, in the latter half of the interview, Yu corrected himself and said that extended-range smart cars are far better than fuel vehicles. Whether we talk about performance or functionalities, pure electric vehicles are the best.

Further, Yu Chengdong has shared his experience of driving an AITO smart car in his daily life. He compared the performance with the Porsche Cayenne that he used to drive in his early days, and said:

“The fuel consumption per 100 kilometers was five or six liters which was more than half of the Porsche Cayenne, but the acceleration performance was higher than that of the Cayenne. It is Half the fuel consumption, double the acceleration performance.”

Yu on Weibo wrote that AITO doubles the performance and reduces fuel consumption by half. This is not just a slogan, but a real value and experience that consumers can get.Advertisement

Except for the AITO, the CEO didn’t mention any other brand. Hence, it’s not possible to say which brand will continue its journey successfully in the future. But we cannot deny the fact that Huawei is a well-known car solution provider in the automobile industry. Thus, it knows very well which smart automation can take over the market in the upcoming years.
