DETROIT – Ford announced Thursday it will recall nearly 250,000 pickup trucks due to issues with the drive shafts that can results in power loss to the vehicles. According to the Associated Press, trucks involved in the recall involve certain types of F-250 and F-350 Super Duty pickups with model years between 2017 through 2022.

In documents posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Ford says the problem is caused by heat and noise insulators below the body which can loosen over time and touch the drive shaft. If that happens, the drive shaft may fracture, resulting in a power loss or loss of control if it hits the ground.
