Microlution ML-5 is optimized for micro-hole machining and fine cutting, without any heat-affected zone. The machine's compact, high-performance, ultra-fast femtosecond laser shortens cycle time and tool costs, and can produce precision parts in a few seconds.

The machine combines fast acceleration, stability, precise part handling and motion control with integrated part characterization and measurement to provide accuracy, speed and quality. It is ideal for processing various shapes of holes in products, such as more efficient automotive fuel injectors, complex watch parts, medical catheter tips, and hardened glass screens on mobile devices.

The platform provides up to five motion axes and accepts a variety of laser types to achieve positioning accuracy of ± 1 μm and repeatability of ± 0.5 μm. The granite base provides thermal stability and inertial stability to improve reliability and repeatability. Ironless guide rails and linear motors mounted on granite support high-precision beam transmission systems. Microlution ML-5 also has a high-resolution HEIDENHAIN glass scale encoder, as well as an online workpiece probe, integrated power meter and high-speed optical camera.
